Galla Collection
A new Collection enriches from 2007 the great and precious patrimony of the International Library “La Vigna” in Vicenza: more than 400 volumes about hunting has been given as a gift by the generous lawyer Mariano Galla.
It has been a particularly appreciated gift because this block of books adds to the library information in the field of hunting, which is a sector traditionally connected with the rural culture and civilization. Many books describe the capture tecniques of the game; there are many hunting tales and diaries, precious illustrated books on birds, some manuals telling what to do to obtain the hunting licence ans several encyclopedias. The whole collection has beeen divided in 5 sections, according to the donor’s will: ornitology, hunting tecnique, hunting fiction, ballistics and interest in dogs.
The collection has been already catalogued in SBN thanks to the generous contribute of Banca del Centro Veneto del Credito Cooperativo di Longare.
